This Split Album is brought to you by DIY conspiracy, accomplices are the Bands, Lixiviat, Loner Cult, 783 Punx and yours truly.
ABJURED - waste town grind - play a strong mixture of scandi-infused grind with hints of death metal, d-beat, hardcore, sludge. The songs they present here are just 6 heavy as fuck kicks in the teeth.
T.F.B from Trier are either not unknown in the scene. They play furious thrash-grind with two insane vocalists. If you're into thrashy riffs in the vein of Wehrmacht, Spazztic Blurr, COC and the likes, driven by blastbeats then you gotta love those dudes.
Pressed on 180g recycling vinyl, so every LP is basically a unique piece.
Housed in a Gatefold sleeve , incl. poster.

"This is an album that isn't just stunningly bleak, it's got the sort of incredible balls and skull melting torment that makes for endless listening. There are few black metal albums that so perfectly sum up the inherent horror of black metal as a genre, this one goes beyond the pale, serving to rip us limb from limb and remind us why we got here in the first place.
The ominous trudge of Cinereous Incarnate is the result of years of honed efforts. This is the bands third full length and perhaps the most fully and elegantly conceived to date. Abstracter's ability to conjure up incredible and death defying atmospheres is impressive to say the least. Not only that though but there is something with the guitar tone that almost suffocates the listener. You find yourself drowning under a sea of volume and loving every oppressive minute of it. Yet despite how abstract this record can be and the familiarity with the scene needed to 'get it' there are some undeniable grooves that make it easy to sink in to what's been painted here.
Abstracter crawl forward, covered in their own filth and loving every minute of it. The magical devastation of a song like Wings Of Annihilation is not to be underestimated and is a clear indicator of the bands songwriting talent. Cinereous Incarnate is not just a masterful release - it's symbolic of all that black metal can be. It is mesmerizing and cruel, over the top and punishing, and this is why I can't help but to admire it. Alienating and wonderfully deep, I'm excited to delve once more into this rabbit hole." With the threat of apocalypse constantly looming over humanity, Oakland-basedABSTRACTER supplies an apt soundtrack for the end of times, as they’ll prove once again on the quartet’s impending sophomore full-length, Wound Empire.
Centered once again on the construction of lengthy, winding, and abyssal buildup and collapse progressions, Wound Empire brings entirely new elements to the sonic palette ofABSTRACTER and of their massive and enveloping riffing, which is seemingly driven by an almost insatiable darkness and by a sinister and primordial hunger for complete annihilation. From the first disheartening notes of opening blackened sludge crusher, “Lightless,” it is in fact immediately clear that what is about to unravel on the listener is an almost absurd rampage of total obliteration. For forty-two minutes of uncontrolled hostility,ABSTRACTER rips through four titanic ten minute-long surges of darkness-fueled anger, unleashing an almost unbearable barrage of sonic devastation on the listener and snaking and winding their way down a path of complete and dismal destruction in which crust, doom metal, sludge, black metal, noise and psychedelia twist and collide into a daunting sonic downfall.
Wound Empire Track Listing:
2. Open Veins
4. Glowing Wounds
Wound Empire was recorded and mixed last summer at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, California by Greg “The Wizard of Doom” Wilkinson (Brainoil, Pallbearer, Atriarch, Noothgrush, etc.) and mastered at Audiosiege Mastering studios in Portland, Oregon by Brad Boatright (Wolves In The Throne Room, Nails, Sunn O))), Sleep etc.). The album is undoubtedly a release to look out for in the underground realms of all things heavy and dark, and is a must for fans of Altar of Plagues, Inter Arma, Thou, Samothrace, Amenra, Tragedy, Indian, Wolvhammer, Unearthly Trance and such.
On February 10th, 2015, Wound Empire will be made available on 12″ vinyl LP through Fragile Branch Recordings (US), Vendetta Records (EU/DE), 7Degrees Records (EU/DE) and Shove Records (EU/IT), on CD by COF Records (formerly known as Church Ov Fuck – UK), on cassette tape co-released by Sentient Ruin in collaboration with An Out Recordings, and digitally again through Sentient Ruin. For the LP, there will be 600 copies pressed, of which 500 will be pitch black and 100 on clear wax with black and grey haze. The CD will be in an edition of 100 hand-assembled, four-panel, gatefold, vinyl-styled cardboard jackets with a 6mm spine and insert. The tape will come in 100 units as a five-panel U-card in a clear Norelco box with a cardboard outer sleeve. The cover art, design and layout on all formats of Wound Empire was handled by the band’s friend Kevin Gan Yuen of Bay Area cult blackened noise miscreants Sutekh Hexen.
Stand by for preorder info, audio samples from the album and more to be released early in January, as well as live performances throughout 2015.
Germany's 7 Degrees Records, France's Trendkill Recordings and Italy's Shove Records have joined forces to release the final and ultimate version of Tomb of Feathers, the debut album of Oakland apocalyptic blackened crustdoom horde ABSTRACTER. Finally arriving in 12" vinyl format on April 15, Tomb of Feathers was already released worldwide in September 2012 by the US's The Path Less Traveled Records in digital format, on a self-released limited edition cassette tape in fall of 2012, and once again by The Path Less Traveled Records on CD worldwide last summer.
Special Pre-order Edition (Lim. to 100 pcs): Transparent clear vinyl
Regular Edition (400 pcs): Black vinyl
ABSTRACTER is the latest sonic monstrosity to emerge from the gutters of the San Francisco Bay Area's enigmatic extreme music underground. Formed in 2010 and coming out of complete obscurity, these four obscure slime mongers from Oakland have crafted a debut that is both mesmerizing in its seemingly effortless ability to constructmassive and enveloping soundscapes, and annihilating in it's brutal, relentless, and merciless sonic grasp on the listener's synapses. With forty minutes of music divided solely among three mammoth tracks, this bile-drenched debut is clearly a vessel for music that has at it's core the urge and primordial instinct to drag the listener into a vast, violent, and obscure world all of its own. Written in 2011 over a span of just a few months, Tomb of Feathers displays ABSTRACTER's unique sound and style of songwriting, influenced by bands like Amebix, Swans, Godflesh, Corrupted, Darkthrone, and His Hero Is Gone, and shaped by elements borrowed from a vast array of genres, spanning from black metal, to crust and doom metal, to shoegazing and psychedelic rock, to hardcore punk and noise music. The work itself is a single-themed concept album about madness and mental disease as a result of the
extreme and cynical individualism that permeates humanity. Entirely self-produced and self-funded by the band Tomb of Feathers was recorded live in three days (one track per day), directly to 22 track - 2 inch analog tape by sound engineer Josh Garcia (Melvins, Dwarves). The recordings were then passed on to Greg Wilkinson (Brainoil, Lycus, Laudanum, High On Fire, Noothgrush, OM, Atriarch, Sleep, Worm Ouroboros, Vohl) at Hear Hammer Studios for mixing, and were then shipped to Philadelphia to be mastered by James Plotkin (ISIS, SUNN O))), OLD, Khanate, etc.).
Abstracter is a blackened sludge-doom band with crust influences hailing from Oakland CA, founded in 2010 by Robin Kahn and Mattia Alagna with the intent of creating the darkest, bleakest,
and most punishing music they could come up with. Influenced by legendary bands like Swans, Amebix, Godflesh, Corrupted, His Hero Is Gone, and Blut Aus Nord. Abstracter have released two
acclaimed albums to date (2012's "Tombof Feathers" and 2015's "Wound Empire") and have shared the stage with bands like Primitive Man, Hexis, Eyehategod, Bell Witch, Mass Grave, Noothgrush,
Buried At Sea, Unearthly Trance, Acephalix, Sleep, Graves At Sea and many more, presenting the world with their own brand of apocalyptic, hopeless and darkness-fueled music driven by crushing,
grim, and dissonant guitar work, apocalyptic themes and lyrical content, and absolutely blood-freezing and plague-ridden atmospheres.
Dark Circles is a hardcore band from Montreal, Quebec. After the release of their first LP “MMXIV” they have oured Europe, and worked towards an upcoming split with Abstracter. Onward, Dark Circles continues to create and perform.
Abest’s debut full length Asylum is like a wrecking ball, slowly but steadily hovering towards the torn and rotten walls of civilisation. Dissonant soundscape-like toothache parts, doom parts, arcs of suspension that eventually collapse and apocalyptic vibes which Neurosis couldn‘t have done any better. In short: This is not for the faint of heart.
Slovakian grindcore gods Abortion are back with another lethal dose of noise! Twenty songs of old school grindcore heavily influenced by Agathocles and Rot. You just can't go wrong with them! Full blast stuff!!!
Achilles from Rochester, New York destroy their side with 8 tracks of finest Botch/ Coalesce/ Deadguy core. Seven Bowls Of Wrath are a new band from south Germany, ex Eaves. This record shows them develop their Mörser/ Coalesce/ His Hero Is Gone sound further, well worth checking out!!
Brand new crustcore split LP between Kladno´s hooligans Jonestown and slovakian Adacta. Jonestown brings you raw and angry crustcore in the vein of old Wolfpack / Skitsystem recordings. On the other side you will find crust monsters Adacta with their "melodic" crustcore alá latest albums from Wolfbrigade or End Of All. Both sides were recorded at Professional Sound Studio under sight of mighty Kure (btw soundmaker on 007 Strahov club in Prague ..). This split should be something like acquaintance with czecho-slovakian crust core scene. Get it or leave it.
Adrestia's (ex SHADES OF GREY, MASSMORD, FUTURE RUINS...) music is a mix of crust punk and old school swedish death metal. The lyrics are mostly reflections of the time we're living in, the conflicts, the dictators, the religious freaks, the fundamentalists and the freedom for which we all yearn.
Raw crust/Dbeat from Encore where you can find skilled members from bands llike Jonestown, Black Aspirin, Demarche, Blinded, Rapida Muerte or Tretí Stupen Tortury etc. etc.
This band has been formed by ex-HOSTILE SYSTEM, ex-SHAÏD, STREPTOCOCK and LUST FOR DEATH members. Amazing blackened-crust. Very dark, depressive and atmospheric melodies, with metal/black metal influences and hints of powerful D-beat crust. The group already put the bar very high with this first album for fans of Ekkaïa, Madame Germen etc...
Two long new tracks by French death/black metal infused AFFRES. Dark and atmospherical haunting continuing where they left on their previous full length. CONGREED on the flip is a fusion of Grindcore and Thrashmetal-band hailing from Freiburg, Germany, founded on the ashes of HELLBORN MESSIAH. 7 furious tracks that are quite an variety to the other side.
The sleeve is screen printed with extremely beautiful artwork that screams at you being framed... well done split release.
The original and founding members of Swedish/Finnish grindcore band AFGRUND, being Andy, Pat and long-time drummer Panu are back after six years with their fourth full album. afterlife kids still play their blend of 90ies infliuenced hardcore, but
added a good amount of bremen-style to it ; lord snow do what they can do
best, intense and wild screamo - chaos, with an insane female voice...
born out of frustation or pure boredom afterlife kids will deliever you with their own brew of angst laden 90′s worshipping hardcore with a tip of good old mosh. no tough guy images, no rockstar shit, no fashion … just songs that they need to play. coming from diy bands such as henry fonda, eyedestroyed, jane hoe, call me betty, theory joe, a bit of braindead & the mustard chronicles, these 4 nerds know their shit and play it well. This reminds of the wave of brutal 90s bands from germany ( loxiran , linsay , abyss , acly , lebensreform … ) without being a copycat
After 8 years of beer-guzzling, blast-beating and numerous splits, EPs and 7 inches, The Afternoon Gentlemen are finally ready to unleash their debut full-length LP. Expect 16 tracks of tanning blasts, thrashing riffs, thumping powerviolence breakdowns and all manner of vocal styles span over 20 manic minutes, with a few surprises along the way.
The first release recorded as a full five-piece, this is easily the heaviest and best sounding Gents record to date; sharp, clear and punishing, yet capturing the band’s live sound with roaring dual guitars and natural unedited/untriggered drums. Meanwhile, the lyrical themes range from the usual preoccupation with joogling and poggery through to the social hypocrisy and unfairness of Tory Britain, the decay of the body and the dark side of alcohol abuse.
Fresh three-song release by Agasia, a young Finnish group that plays very high quality, powerful and gloomy mixture of sludge metal and crust! Do not worry that all three songs, classics of the genre each track lasts for 7-11 minutes.

The title leapt at me when I first heard about it! I think that "Thanks for your hostility" is the best Agathocles record title ever. But then, I've been a little disappointed when I listened to the musical content itself; probably by the inadequat sound production. It's very clear and actually powerful, but guitars sound a little weak and find a way a little bit more technical than before, drums also have a slightly snare, feeble sound... vocals are great though, well, at least on the grindcore songs, because there's a very high percentage of crusty/hardcore influences on songs like "Until it bleeds", "Hatred is the cure", "Cheers humanity cheers", "No use... hatred" & many more! But all in all I truly enjoy their crust side there! Then, maybe the sound is too clear to play crust here too... But anyway, some riffs reminded me good old crust bands like Mob 47 and alikes... So, it's nice! And yes! Agathocles is always Agathocles and their mincing feeling is always alive and well; There are many grindcore tracks, with fast drumming, growls, tortured screams and an abundant use of splattery vocal effects! The great songs are "Criminalisation of strange behaviour", "Strangulation", "Life control", "Be your own god", "He cared" & more.... The lyrics are always socially aware and always more sarcastic... The cover artwork is not a masterpiece. Well, this is although a 40 tracks LP of really intense musical aggression! It will probably please to those more into hardcore & crust, but it has a big portion of great grind! So recquires the listening of grind freaks too. Obviously a must-have for Agathocles completists. The bonus material (11 tracks) was recorded in the Natianal Radio Station in april 96 and was broadcasted a few month later.
2016, BALTIMORE, USA……. Years after frequent attempts of AGATHOCLES trying to get into the USA for making a tour, being refused entrance into the land of freedom several times in the 90's and last time in 2015, AGATHOCLES managed to get into the "country of freedom and hope" in summer 2016. Wasting no time and playing a show everyday, AGATHOCLES also got the chance, on a very hot afternoon in July 2016, to make a full studio session of 38 songs with JOE WARKENTIN doing all the vocals and second guitars. Imagine the combination of a heated up (near 40 degrees) small studio in Baltimore, with friends around, no sleep, all adrenaline, the "we wanna make noise now" spirit and the plan of playing a show that same night… The result: a massive driller killer sensation of old AGATHOCLES cognac poured with the finess of ARCHAGATHUS whiskey and the bulldozing bass gin of MORTICIAN. STIR IT WELL AND YOU GET THIS ALBUM !!! The LP is housed in an inside/outside cover design and contains a huge full colored booklet.

12 years after CD version of this split by Apathic View Production, finally 12-inch vinyl comes from DIY cooperation between Alternative Record Label, Extreme Terror Production , Grindfather Productions and NIC Records.Everyone knows Agathocles, so no need to long introduction of this living underground legend! Their side in short: a live set from 28 February 1997 in Tongerlo/Belgium - great setlist (including "Kill your fucking idols", "Trust? Not me!", "Cheers mankind cheers" & more, 11 songs in total) and strong micecore/grindcore sound quality. This was the line-up from "Thanks for yur hostility" and "Humarrogance" times so you know what to expect from AGx! Few words about H.407 then: a grindcore/crust punk band from Ropczyce/Poland, active between 1999-2008. Released 2 tapes "Obietnica – opium dla mas" and "Kraty wolności", shared splits with Suffering Mind, Disarm, Human Error, Untamed and ...Agathocles. H.407 started as crust punk with grind influences to move harder and harder into grindcore brutality (check their split with Suffering Mind). Their side contains 13 songs of grindcore/crust plus cover of legendary Dezerter "Szwindel". After H.407 split-up in Summer 2008, vocalist Tukan together with Daro, Kuchar and Cieleń (all 3 from Suffering Mind) created death metal/crust machine Hellisheaven. Maciek went to hardcore punk Ortodox and Sław continued his extreme-punk-act S.A.T.A.N – but these are another chapters.Specially for this issue all songs were remasterd by Jędras (Herida Profunda, ex-Apatia) in Riot Studio/Poznań in May 2018. Limited to 350 copies on green vinyl with fold-out (600x300mm) insert.
4 new tracks by french masters of dirty sludge.
AGUIRRE just need to play dirty sludge, to eat tofu, to booze cheap alcohol, to drive 800 km each day for a gig, to make some rotten tattoos, to break guitars and mics to share their last beers with you and to fuck that world together!
Another Split LP from french sludge/doom masters AGUIRRE! Two new tracks, which break up their latest sound. These sound a little bit more melodic and it´s easy to get hooked on it! On the flip-side waits one longt track by a new japanese doom-band called GUEVNNA, which consists of ex-members of the legendary COFFINS!
new alaskan long song

Two melodic crust powerhouses join forces on this must-have split release. Gränslandet from Sweden with their sludgy, crusty d-beat and Alteri from Germany with their metallic hardcore crust create a unique pairing that all you crust connoisseurs must taste!
"Of the three bands featured here, Germany’s Alteri are decidedly the crustiest, punkiest, pick of the bunch, and their newest EP (released way back in February of this year) provides six tracks of gnarly, buzzsaw riffage, ramshackle, d-beat drum work, and throaty, glass-gargling vocals that sound a little bit like Disfear mixed with an extra dash of Discharge and Dismember.
Unpretentious, uncompromising, and unrelentingly aggro, and well worth your time." - No Clean Singing
The Cologne band ALTERI has made their debut with "miseria". Right away "miseria" is a roller of punk, crust, metal and d-beat. The thing is absolutely stunning. THere isn't a cage for their sound structure. ALTERI don't conform to convention and can not be locked up in a cage. The tracks have a clean groove between crunchy crust-hardcore and heavy death-metal.
At war with false noise: One long track from two new ultra heavy bruisers, Amarok from the US and Poland's Enth.
Enth play funeral doom with a real old school death metal feel to it. There's a real gloomy, cloying atmosphere to it that very much brings to mind early 90s European doom bands - remember Sempiternal Deathreign? Bang on! There's a lot going on here; there's a melancholic piano line and what sounds like violin near the end. Fantastic stuff, and seriously some of the best music of this style I have heard in ages.
Amarok are more straightforward and play a style more similar to the new american sludge/doom wave of the past few years. Dual screaming/growling vocals (VERY Alan Dubin!), repetitive and slow, ultra low-end riffing and sparse but solid, driving percussion, this will definitely appeal to those into Thou, Salome, Cough and all that.
Solid release, this was a collaboration between myself and Boue and Vendetta in Europe. USA copies should be obtained from Halo Of Flies and Orca Wolf. We've had a bunch of backpatches for each band screenprinted up too; if you want the pair just add an extra pound!
500 copies. 180g vinyl with fully-printed inners.
LOVESAKEN, the first full-length from AMBER, is an epic, riff-soaked record of five songs stretched perfectly over 35 minutes. uplifting and yet somber, almost bittersweet. its a record to drown in. like tears. like rain. AMBER from Marburg (Germany) playing epic post-rock with heavy sludge parts and deep atmospheric melodies with apocalyptic vocals like CULT OF LUNA, ENVY or ISIS.
The second album - ten wretched tracks of astonishing sonic abuse that knows no end. With their own brand of crazed, sadistic, and raw industrial black metal american have reached a new zenith in musical depravity that will leave old fans of the band and new admirers alike horrified by the sheer cruelty reached in this new work, and disgusted by the band’s mindless and lawless evolution into complete and triumphant aural perversion. A work of absolutely magnificent sonic abhorrence that coerces together the abyssal darkness of black metal bands like Leviathan and Ash Borer, the earth-shaking noise abuse of Bastard Noise and The Body, and the glacial magnificence of blackened noise sound sculptors like Sutekh Hexen, Locrian, and Wold. White and black vinyl options are available and all formats feature disturbingly beautiful art made for the band by øjeRum.

Italians are responsible for quite a few of my favourite things: sumptuous wines, indulgent cuisine and eminent suits. With their debut album, Awaken, Amouth have proved Italians are also pretty damn good at writing post metal.
Awaken certainly is an interesting beast. It’s melancholy but in an uplifting way. It’s seemingly simple, while in actuality, fairly complex. It pairs dreamy, shoegaze guitar lines with vocals straight out of hell. Awaken feels like an album full of paradoxes, juxtapositions and dichotomies.
Self-proclaimed minimalists, Amouth provides what feels like a stripped down take on post-metal compared to Pelican, Isis or even Russian Circles. This makes the album feel more accessible to newcomers to the genre. Despite complex layering, one can still follow what each instrument is doing. This accessibility can also be attributed to Amouth’s songwriting prowess. As with bands such as Porcupine Tree, while each instrument may be playing a complicated part (rhythmically or otherwise), you don’t necessarily notice because they all gel so well.
The journey each track takes you on is both enjoyable and evocative. Despite making use of traditional post metal song structures, focused on evolving a repeated theme or riff to a crescendo, these themes don’t wear out the listener. This may be due to the fact that all the base riffs are rock solid, and some, such as in “City of Gold”, even have a sludge metal/stoner rock groove to them.
The songs on Awaken are constructed from several consistent building blocks. Hypnotic, repeated riffs; irregular rhythmic patterns; the pre-requisite amount of palm-muted chugging for any metal band; shoegaze soundscapes; ambient interludes; and shouted vocals that would make Aaron Turner proud.
While prominence is given to his powerful roars, Gabriele Maurizi’s clean vocals have been kept lower in the mix, a la Electric Wizard. His deep cleans add another dimension to the tracks, and I wouldn’t have minded them being a bit more prominent (especially in the first movement of “The Priest”).
“City of Gold” would have to be my favourite track on the album. The song starts with Maurizi shouting over a mammoth aural assault, featuring some of the grooviest riffs on the album. This soon fades away, making way for a whispering guitar line. The contemplative, quieter movement is the calm after the storm, the first ray of sunshine as the cloud parts: it’s still grim, but there’s hope. The entire album has that kind of vibe. After a slow and steady instrumental build, the track regains its former ferocity, and just keeps building until it suddenly drops away into the following track, “Untold”.
My only criticism is that a few of the album’s ambient passages, such as the one at the end of the title track, occasionally outstay their welcome. While they provide a refreshing respite from the crushing guitar tones and pounding drums, the album would have flowed better if these were just a tad shorter.
Overall, Awaken is a balanced, cohesive album. Amouth’s evocative, minimalistic brand of music is a great addition to the post metal genre, a thoroughly enjoyable debut album and definitely more than just an imitation. I eagerly await the band’s next work.

The long awaited split LP between Polish progressive grinders ANTIGAMA and Swedish horror/prog rock masters ANIMA MORTE is unleashed!
The Polish quartet offers one new song and “Malcontento Popolare” cover song by Alessandro Alessandroni, famous multi-instrumentalist and film score maker from Italy. For those who are familiar with prolific discography of ANTIGAMA know it’s not the first time they pay homage to horror music. Nearly ten years ago the band recorded “Zombi” cover song by Italian progressive rock band GOBLIN. ANTIGAMA's side was recorded and mixed at JNS Studio, Warsaw, Poland with Paweł Grabowski late 2015/early 2016. Mastered by James Plotkin (O.L.D., REGURGITATION, ATOMSMASHER, KHANATE).
Here is what the guitarist Sebastian Rokicki says about this release: "Being the worshippers of the old Italian giallo/horror/library soundtracks, Karol/Selfmadegod Records and myself are proud to share new Antigama release with one of the most outstanding bands nowadays cultivating the old tradition of the genre:... Anima Morte! Our side of the split will include the cover of Maestro Alessandro Alessandroni's "Malconento Popolare" and a brand new Antigama song "Brothers."
ANIMA MORTE is a Swedish cinematic instrumental horror group established in 2004. Their music is progressive rock / horror soundtrack / instrumental, continuing the legacy of bands and artists like Goblin, Fabio Frizzi, Bruno Nicolai, Stelvio Cipriani, Rick Wakeman, Ennio Morricone and the likes. With three full albums, two 7"EPs and contributions to various compilations this is going to be the first split 12"LP in the band's discography. The band recorded two songs especially for this release: one new original song and a cover of the theme from the 1977 movie 'Il Gatto Dagli Occhi Di Giada' (aka Watch Me When I Kill) by Trans Europa Express.
Here is what the Anima Morte founder Fredrik says about this release: "We have always loved to do unexpected collaborations and this one is no exception! It is a great example of how two seemingly different musical acts can come together and make cinematic sense. Anima Morte is very honored to be a part of this exclusive release with Antigama made reality on vinyl by Selfmadegod Records.”
The split is released in regular LP jacket with 5 postcards, flyer reproduction, sticker, and huge A1 poster! Strictly limited to 500 copies only, 100 on red wax and 400 on black wax. This unique record is supposed to be vinyl-only release and in the old fashioned way, this means no digital download included nor streaming available!

I'd go as far as to say that the day Barney and the boys decide to retire, we have the heirs to the throne waiting right here on the wings. Excellent piece of metal, this is! Check it out! - PowerOfMetal.dk (Rating: 88/100)

APRIL provides the best three songs they have ever recorded. Screamed and bawled vocals are accompanied by wonderful guitar riffs and on the other hand there also some very fast speed metal-parts! CREUTZFELDT crank out four songs of total destruction, first song is really fast with lots of death metal influences! The other songs are with much more slower very heavy parts with always screamed vocals!
5 billion years after the last great extinction, the galaxy Andromeda spins headlong into the Milky Way with three intergalactic travelers in tow. Drummer/vocalist Brann Dailor (Mastodon), Guitarist/keyboardist Core Atoms (Zruda, Gaylord) and Keyboardist/guitarist Raheem Amlani (Withered, Scarab) are said pioneers, the space wizards of psychedelic soundscapes where organic drums collide with synthetic keys to create an infinite transmission from an event horizon. They go by ARCADEA and their otherworldly brand of psyche-electric, synth-driven, metallic madness sounds alien yet somehow familiar. ARCADEA's visionary, self-produced, self-titled debut was mastered by Colin Leonard (Mastodon) and features stunning cover art from renowned sci-fi fantasy artist Essy May.
Arkhamin Kirjasto was born in 2010, when Jussi Lehtisalo and Samae Koskinen started making music together. Their aim was to combine different aspects of metal, the music they both loved. Would the guttural power of Autopsy and Nihilist work well with the sheer melodiousness of early Iron Maiden and Angel Witch? Arkhamin Kirjasto's debut album, Torches Ablaze, is the answer to that question.
This versatile record opens with "The Cult of No Return", a startling riff that pays homage to Judas Priest. "Sea of Madness" takes an ethereal trip to the realms of psychedelia while "The Bitch From Hell" pairs pure glam with death-metal vocals. The undead hissing of "Thousand Snakes" and the majestic guitar noise of "Speed, Yog Sothoth" then proceed to turn the metal blueprint inside out.
Lyrically speaking, Arkhamim Kirjasto deals mainly with the green-tinted cosmic horror of Lovecraftian mythology.Koskinen is a well-known Finnish solo artist who plays guitar in the live lineup of Xysma. When he's not managing his label, Ektro Records, Lehtisalo plays in Circle and Pharaoh Overlord, among others. The pair previously worked together in Aaron Turner's Split Cranium project.
First review says:
... It's basically a mix of harsh vocals reminding me of the Old School death metal scene like Autopsy or even some Asphyx mixed with a traditonal metal approach à la Judas Priest. All this without forgetting the huge dose of experimental influences. ...
ASHKARA features ex-members of long going switzerland Crustpunk institution CWILL and play down tuned and dark, atmospheric and moody HC/Punk or modern and slowed down Crustcore with a urge to sink you into a dark abyss... The use of a violin in most songs adds alot to the moody atmosphere and is a perfect addition for this style of post-punk/post hardcore or whatever you wanna call it.
Old suspects on a new course.
After the sudden end of HC legend MIOZÄN, it become obvious very quickly for 4/5 of the band members: giving up was not an option, but to continue under the same name wasn't even up for debate. Although the main influence was to remain in the classic hardcore style of the late '80s, the new sound would be combined with classic metal influences à la IRON MAIDEN for example.
As luck would have it, Tank, Kniffel, Gerrit and Outso quickly found Johnny from true metalheads GLORYFUL, the right man for the job at the mic, invent their own brand new genre "Swordcore" and now are ready to escape the ashes, rising like a phoenix as ASH RETURN (yes, just like the song of IGNITE).
Even the cover of the debut 'The Sharp Blade Of Integrity', where Archangel Michael turns his sword against the demon, illustrates that the recordings were not an easy task. ASH RETURN spent a lot of blood, sweat and tears, alongside just as much passion, and this fact is demonstrated by every single one of the album's stylistically wide-ranging songs.
Consistent heaviness with catchy melodies, hardcore and metal easily form a symbiosis, blitzing guitar solos with fist raising singalongs, diverse vocals extending from deep growls and hardcore shouting to virtuoso Bruce Dickinson heights doing the rest. Hardcore will be Hardcore!
The first song 'Time Is The Enemy', which was released in advance, whets the appetite on first listening and suggests that the old warriors have far more than one card up their sleeves!
'The Sharp Blade Of Integrity' was produced by ASH RETURN themselves, recorded by Jörg Uken in the Soundlodge, mixed and mastered by the legendary Swedish producer, musician and mastermind Dan Swanö, who says: "Impressive band! It's a really good album. A great performance and catchy songs!"

Death Doom explorers Assumption are ready to sink into outer cosmos again! Following their critically acclaimed EP "The Three Appearances" these three new tracks (clocking around 37 minutes) continues developing the psychedelic aura of the italian band to reach a new level of sonic deviation where visionary Floyd-esque sections are combined with extremely heavy, downtempo riffs. Initially started in 2011 as a studio-project with David on drums and Giorgio on vocals and all the other instruments, Assumption have managed to set up a live line-up throughout the years, sharing stages with bands such as Esoteric, Demilich, Sub Rosa and so on.For fans of diSEMBOWELMENT, Disma, Oranssi Pazuzu.
"Mirages" is the outstanding second full-length from french powerhouse AS WE DRAW. Pursuing their will of constant evolution since 2009, these Laval natives have imposed their unique take on post-metal and noisy hardcore, crafted through ambitious songwriting and disarming live performances. Three years in the making, the follow-up to 2010's "Lines Breaking Circles" shows a band decided to challenge themselves as much as the listener (if not even more), out of every sub-genres conventions and commonplaces. As a proof, the album starts with the longest track ever wrote by the band. The ten-minutes mudslide that is "The Window" flows from eerie and intricate melodies to overwhelming parts, before descending into an unreal, glacial ending.
This record is the culmination of the power trio's hard-earned mastery, where dense and nervous tracks ("Blackmail", "Denial") stand alongside richly atmospheric and massive soundscapes ("Shipwreck", "Fata Morgana"). Engineered and mixed at La Senelle by their drummer Amaury Sauvé, mastered by Magnus Lindberg, and lyrically exploring the theme of paranoïa seen through different eyes, "Mirages" is destined to remain an awe-inspiring piece of dark and forward-thinking heavy music.
Atomçk are a trio from the UK's wet and wild south-west. They have been plugging away for over a decade, evolving their primitive noise roots into a uniquely eccentric and offbeat brand of grindcore for thee end-tymes. "Every Room In Britain" is a 17-minute head crusher of cacophonous chaos, all furiously catchy riffs and inhumanly shrill, stuck-ape vocals with pinpoint drums that border on the chaotic.
The debut record from Oakland, California d-beat act Atrament, Eternal Downfall, will be released jointly by Broken Limbs in the US and Argento Records in Europe on March 4, 2016. Atrament is this generation's answer to the classic and unforgiving Swedish and British style d-beat crust, Norwegian black metal, and 90's Gothenberg death metal. Produced by Greg Wilkinson (Graves At Sea, Iron Lung, Noothgrush, Vastum, Pallbearer) and mastered by Brad Boatright, Atrament's sound retains its raw wildness while posing a fatal challenge to any speaker or sound system daring enough to step in its path and risk being devoured whole.
Artwork by the talented Stephen Wilson. Layout by Kevin Gan Yuen.
Conceptually Atrament's music is built upon a nightmarish landscape of hallucinating ruin, a wretched sonic world in which humanity is rejected as a whole and a tomb of ash and radioactive fallout is summoned to encase it and devour it forever. While remaining true to the roots of UK anarcho-punk and 90’s Scandinavian-branded black and death metal, Atrament's punishing, grim and embittered songs blend d-beat crust, black metal and death metal with seamless ferocity, creating a bloodthirsty sonic tapestry where the lines between new and old, metal and punk seem constantly blurred yet perfectly defined in an endless rampage of cascading aural violence.
"This Bay Area group creates music that has underground music lovers from around the world head banging non fucking stop!!!" - CVLT Nation
Brandnew LP of those hyperfast coast Grind - Punishing blastbeats, hard hitting guitars, exploding bass and bonerattling vocals. For Grindcore fans who are into old school Grindcore as Repulsion. Animalgrind is the present and the future!
finally a new full length by the goat ! and he said, this is the first record he's done that he's 100% happy with...
the austrasian goat in his black metal or doom songs always creates a special dark mood , an atmosphere that only the austrasian goat is able to put into music. on this here album he slows down a lot and takes a step back from metal ; those new songs have a touch of bands like swans or horseback, or even the neurosis sideprojects ( scott kelly , steve von till ); this album has more atmosphere than his previous releases, it will take you on a trip down to your deepest emotions...
ORANGE MARBLED VINYL
European pressing of the second LP from Autarch. 6 songs of sci-fi influenced emotive, melodic crust with themes of loss, resilience, and defiance in the face of ascendant fascism.
HARDCORE/DOOM/SLUDGE. AVALANCHE from Vienna/Austria giving nods to the horned one. They play heavy hardcore with a strong tendency towards stoner- and doom-metal. Instead of attempting to intimidate with epic scope or bleak mood, as does by most doom/sludge bands, these miscreants basically cut to the chase and get right in the listener's face. The 5 newly remastered tracks (3 of them are from their "among beasts" 2010 demo) are concise blasts of mostly thudding mid-tempo hardcore rage, riding easy on primal SABBATH riff-worship. The stoner riffs could work your fillings out of your teeth - the ruptured throat sounds pissed - the bass is feedback soaked and gives a solid groove and the drums sound crisp like a nuclear explosion not very far away from your living room. Some parts are slow but not glacial and the riffs are without ever hinting at bounciness. The SABBATH-ian lineage is clear, but AVALANCHE owe just as much to the frothy-mouthed intensity of SLEEP, EYEHATEGOD, OKKULTOKRATI, PENTAGRAM and their ilk. The atmosphere here is generally one of extreme hostility, and when these guys kick up the tempo the resultant is far more hardcore than anything else. Quite simply it is a heavy journey that should be tracked down by anyone into crushing, heavy music - a drug-infused jam - and you’ll be pulled right in! The one-sided, limited and handnumbered (300) LP comes with a screenprinted b-side and cover, black innersleeve and includes a digital download card
