THIRD PRESS ON YELLOW VINYL!!!
Selfmadegod Records is proud to announce a 7" vinyl EP releasing of the two long running metal veterans: AGATHOCLES from Belgium and NUNSLAUGHTER from USA.
The EP includes three recently recorded songs from Belgium's mince kings ("Trail of despair", "Nazional sozial(ist) security", "Flanders' little cesspool") and two from the Ohio's death metal behemoth ("To Sin Again", "Your Soul Belongs To Me").
Both bands have been around for well over 20 years and have released hundreds of similar splits although its the first time when Agathocles and Nunslaughter share the same record
Haemophagus play a style of death metal inspired grindcore with the mandatory dark sound and guttural vocals, but have some sharp guitar riffs and solos every now and then break through. The band themselves claim to be inspired by "mainly old school death metal, TRUE grindcore, doom/sludge, thrash/hc/crust and of course all 60/70/80 horror movies and marijuana abuse."
I don't think Agathocles deserves a big introduction so let's just say that they on this 7" unleash four tracks of their signature mincecore.
italy powerful&technical grindcore / belgian mincecore gods
Atmospheric and uncompromising, DETERIORATE, the new EP from San Diego's Age of Collapse, builds on the chaotic song writing formula established in their debut LP. Moments of slow, reverb drenched restraint topple into full-speed savagery, reinforcing the bleak themes of this record; that all around us shall wear away in the inevitable passing of time.
Gothenburg, Sweden based metallers AGE OF WOE is fueled by the desire to
explore new soundscapes in the vast landscapes of punk and metal, leaving
the Gothenburg sound in the dust.
The band contains of Massmord, Future ruins, Terrorstat, End of All, The
Process and Fredagen den 13:e members.
Split #4 of the Hell Comes Home seriesis an instrumental beast of its own. Akaname (from Melbourne, Australia - by way of New Zealand) featuring guest drummer Jamie Saint Merat from Ulcerate deliver the soundtrack to your next bar fight. On the other side Lesbian (from... Seattle, US - whose latest album was On Important Records) and their Fungal Abyss side-project take us for a trippy ride in another dimension…
If you took Bauhaus, 45 Grave, and Christian Death, gave them even more drugs than they were presumably on, made them play just a bit "dirtier" and asked Jaz Coleman (Killing Joke) to sing....the end result would be Oakland, California's ALARIC. Featuring members of Dead & Gone, The Enemies, Noothgrush, Pins Of Light, Cross Stitched Eyes and U.K. Subs. This is the band's debut release. Two tracks of total 80's style Goth-Punk-Death-Rock melancholy. Only 500 pressed: 400 on Black, 100 on White (with alternate cover). Comes with a poster and a digital download.
“The fall” is the newest output by our beloved friends in Amalthea from Gothenburg. Musically Amalthea present an ambitious version of melancholy driven post-rock which is a consequent progression of the bands history. Mostly slow arranged guitarlines meet up with smooth played drums which are underlined by a ligneous bass. Th e vocals are clean as well as harsh and set an adequate contrast. All in all a succeeded teaser of what to expect from the bands future. Th is 7inch contains one song and a silk-screened print on the b-side.
Young US band consisting of CHAINSAW TO THE FACE and DOOMSDAY MACHINE SCHEMATIC members, hailing to old school Grindcore and Death metal bands especially ASSUCK, REPULSION AND TERRORIZER. Amputee first full e.p. is straight up blasting Grindcore worship from New Jersey, so enjoy the grandness.
HARDCORE-PUNK. Hamburg citizens BENT CROSS continue with 2 more beer-spitting tracks (from the same recording session as their debut 7"). Raw, dirty and of course - no compromises. The rock is hard, high, and mighty - both tunes have teeth, and the jams are kicked the fuck out. BENT CROSS is a band that happens to party - better, they are a band that incites a party. They have the strong punk ethos in their lyrics: work sucks, get fucked, let’s rage. On the flipside ANNOTATION leaves their previous recordings in a cloud of bong smoke. They serve a kind of retro-rock that brings back memories of BLACK FLAG, BL'AST and the occasional THIN LIZZY. Both songs start out with a gnarly late '70s hard-rock riff and then it quickly becomes a straight forward hardcore-punk song. ANNOTATION make you want to grow your hair out for the sole purpose of head banging. All 4 exclusive smashers consist of simple-but-effectice three-chord riffs, spiced up with melodic lead guitar work and the sound is rough as it should and firmly along the lines of early '80s hardcore-punk bands. The songs might not have the most original progressions, but you can hear that both bands are here to throw a lean, mean live party. And there is nothing wrong with that! Where is the Beer-Bong-Party? Vinyl includes a digital download card
Uranium Overdose proudly announces their new Archagathus / No Thought 7" as out now!
Canadian grind punks Archagathus present two longer tracks with inhuman vocals and ultra heavy sound that were recorded in Summer 2012 with the line up from their USA and Canada tours (Dan + Violent Gorge). They are 100% previously unreleased and exclusive to this 7".
No Thought on the flipside hail from Denver, CO and play excellent old school grindcore. The four tracks featured on their side of the 7" are without a doubt their best material ever recorded. Razor-sharp sound, catchy rhythm changes and sick vocals! Fully recommended for fans of Catheter, Roskopp, Insect Warfare and the like.
This nice split 7" is released in a limited edition of 525 hand-numbered copies in deluxe white / black splatter vinyl perfectly matching the cover art.
one sided Split EP, canadian mincecore giants deliver one new track and a ROT coverversion, polands DIY Blastcore outfit with 2 unreleased head crushing grindcore tracks.
Art Of Burning Water were born out of the ‘white flats’ of Hanwell (W7) and the pre-gentrified homes of Hammersmith (W6) in West London in 2001. The sound of suburban alienation and misfit isolation forged an awkward visceral sound that was too punk for the metallers, too noisy for the arthouse crowd and too weird for seemingly everyone else. AOBW continue to plough their own furrow despite personal injury and often chronic disorganisation. with self-promotion taking a back seat to the importance of sound creation to combat the often ugly hardships of everyday living. Like Slayer gone sludge, AOBW channel the prime noise-rock of vintage Zeni Geva and Godflesh with the more complex rhythmical riff obsessions of the Melvins, Keelhaul and mid-period Voivod. In saying that however, AOBW also adhere to the original punk philosophy of ‘anything goes’. There are no restrictions. Punk isn’t about Discharge (as good as they were and are), studded belts and crusty bum flaps. Punk is the heart to tell the narrow minded to get fucked.
solation Tank is a duo that make that powerviolence stuff but are head and shoulders above a lot of the generic, jokey slop being churned out at the moment. Jack and Sam actually utilise discernible, catchy riffs and lots of cool time changes that keep it interesting. Think Hatred Surge and Iron Lung.
Art Of Burning Water continue their mission to annoy all and sundry with their slightly faster take on their usual off-kilter noise-rock with definite hardcore leanings, like a sped up Keelhaul partying with Motorhead. Three short ones from them also.
Atka, the tech-grinders from Giessen+Berlin [Germany] share the disc with Swarrrm, the chaotic-minimalist-extremists from Japan. Atka deliver one amazing 5.30 Minutes long track – manic fast driving Techgrind/Mathcore! Swarrm recorded two insane chaotic Grindcore tracks. It’s a great team sharing this disc! The record comes with a voucher for one free download of the tracks in wav and mp3 format. So the digital lovers can also join the party.
Co-Release w/ Ill Neglect, Killing Art Recs, Selfish Satan Recordings, Rauha Turva
PAUCITIES, from Chicago, are waving the flag of the new wave of American Mince-Core! This motley crue keep it fast and brutal with their offerings on this hunk o' vinyl. Members of WINTERS IN OSAKA and SOCIALLY RETARDED. The blokes in ATOMCK hail from the Newport in the UK and bring forth some insanely spazzed out death grind madness on their tracks. This split will be considered seminal a few years down the line.
The Newest strike of Germany’s grinding forest animals. Comes in a hilarious poetry-album styled artwork. A must have !
Germany’s Attack Of The Mad Axeman are four dispossessed forest animals who have taken up instruments to play scathingly brutal Grind like mighty Brutal Truth or Cyness. Their four tracks whip by almost too quickly to process. Relentless blast beats and lightning-speed riffing combine with eco-conscious lyrics to create a volatile concoction not for the weak of heart. The Makai from California pummel your eardrums with a barrage of intensity that will make even the strongest listeners tremble in fear. “Orpheus’ Plight” recounts the ancient legend of Orpheus and Eurydice. The Makai deliver a cool mixture of traditional HC-Punk like His Hero is Gone and some newer Harcorebands. The vocalist and the songstructure reminds me a bit of the the german band Akephal, too. The powerful opening of the song gives way to a slower and more melodic interlude, seamlessly integrating with the subject matter of the lyrics.
The split 7" by Oakland's Augurs and San Jose's Deathgrave. Two of the Bay Area's most wrecking and pillaging bands come together for ten minutes of complete auditive disintegration in which crust, sludge metal, grindcore and powerviolence coalesce into a surreal escalation of violence.
AXT – Grindcore HC from Neubrandenburg, Germany. After two split 7”´s with FUBAR and WHAT IF GODS LIE comes now a 3rd split 7” from AXT. Raging, dirty Hardcore with some Grindcore influence that
bring the power you will like. 6 short and fast songs in 6 min. In 2011 they were on Germany tour with THE HORROR.
BLUTHUF have their first 3 songs on vinyl. Playtime is around 8 min. So, no Grindcore. You will hear fast Hard-/ Crustcore. A new band from Berlin / Prenzlau with old men that you will know. 2 guys from AUTORITÄR and 2 guys from EGAL with the singer from LASY MAN´S LOAD. 3 different songs in the same sound and great recordings. The first one is fast and kind of chaotic with smashing breaks in the middle but still Crustcore. The 2nd have danceable rhythms for pogo or circle pit. The 3rd is furious HC with a slow part and dueling guitars on the end. Lyrics in german.
