Finally, a sonic eruption of full-length brutality from Philadelphia, PA's Backslider. Encapsulating the last 15 years of extreme musical devastation in one album, Backslider has drawn on their influences and expanded their doom-laden attack to unleash a hellstorm of massive, musical terror. Combining the blasting mayhem of early power violence (think Man Is The Bastard and Crossed Out) with the bludgeoning power doom of Eyehategod, Backslider has laid down a monument to lay waste to the current extreme music Scene.
Fragile and monumental soundscapes between 70ties Krautrock, 80ties Proto Metal and Psychedelic Ambient, Drone and Doom aesthetics! Audio Mastered by James Plotkin at Plotkinworks.com. Logo and Cover Artwork by Ammooamo.blogspot.com
8 songs and every single one a gigantic monster who seems to grow constantly on the way by the tides of the Death/ Black Metal, Sludge/ Doom/ Drone and Hardrock.
It shakes your teeth on edge, your stomach and surrounding innards look distraught in view of this mighty roller that threatens to wear down everything. The mood tips ! Quiet tones, acoustic guitars with minimalist support of the percussion and the one or other discreetly arranged sample, weave a sound carpet which invites you to stay and relax.
But only for a short time and the monster is back - inexorably, immensely and, demanding!
Who feels fine in the (Death) Metal of the 90th, knows about Sludge/ Doom/ Drone and didn..t forget about the old from the 70th gets one..s money..s worth. This 1st album of BLROW is a must- have and guaranteed ground breaking.
Comparisons to other great bands can be renounced confidently. The protagonists themselves know about their job. They neather follow any trend nor need to prove anything to themselves. Furthermore the still play in bands like WOJCZECH, IDIOT SAVANT and WHO..S MY SAVIOUR.

Both bands share one track with a cross-over-fade in the middle to switch from Bloodred Bacteria to Bastard Noise. 1-sided 12" 45rpm with a silk-screening on the b-side.
HC/Grind melts with massive skull electronics.
First time on vinyl - 500 copies. Originally released 2003 as a 3" CD-r on Ecocentric Records. The Ecocentric press was limited to 100 copies and I like the track so much that this was a must-do re-release.
This is a nasty dream of mine come true as both bands mean a lot to me. This is really such a perfect match! Both bands deliver incredible psychedelic sounds. Both with their typical artistical
trademarks just perfected and as pure as it can get. I can not emphasize enough how proud I am about this release.
Do not listen sober!
“Battlefields segues between gnashing metal and layers of lo-fi atmosphere. With the addition of tasteful samples and puncturing screams, it’s undeniable that Battlefields are headed in an impressive direction.” Decibel Magazine
“The missing link between ISIS and CONVERGE, their brutal hardcore-infused-doom metal is as head-explodingly heavy and visceral as it is soothing and cerebral.” – MetalInjection.net
“With nods toward the stratified ambience of Red Sparowes and the hellacious mathiness of Converge, Minnesota’s Battlefields straddles dreaminess and despair with equally vicious grace”-The Onion
“Expect big things from these guys in the future.” – Lambgoat.com
“This is how the end of the world should sound.” – Mammoth Press
React with Protest Records proudly presents the first 12" output of BATTLE OF WOLF 359 containing 8 Tracks of intense heavy hardcore ala systral or shikari meets older emoviolence madness ala to dream of autumn or welcome the plague year.
They split up in 2012 and went on to f.e. LICH
Beg is a trio making intense grind metal of the very best kind. It's hard not to mention the "supergroup" thing, with Smith from The Afternoon Gentlemen on drums and Grief from Art Of Burning Water playing guitar, and it sounds like it. Twisted and complicated but with tons of driving fury that brings to mind both the old and new skools. This came out as a CD on Hygiene Records last year and is now on vinyl, limited to 250 or so on the blackest of black vinyl with screened sleeves.
Debut full-length for this great band from Northern Italy with members of Jilted. These five veterans of the scene play like a blackened death crust that I don’t hesitate to define the Italian d-beat answer to the mighty Entombed, with a touch of black metal and some melodic riffs of “Tragedyan” memory…

Devastating French Post-Hardcore three piece BIND TORTURE KILL release their second high speed slab of chaotic blackened post hardcore on the album 'Viscères'. Following in the footsteps of giants like Trap Them and Converge but finding heavier emphasis in 'blackened' elements than either.
'Blackened' here referring to moments of echoing reverb, hanging on an abyssal chord for a few seconds, or giving in to brief exaggeratedly blasting trem-picked sections. However this tag should not detract from what is primarily a thorough study in chaotic post-hardcore.
Recorded at Warmaudio in their native Lyon BIND TORTURE KILL pluck at the essence of the classic 'Relapse Hardcore' sound; fast guitar runs interspersed with RIFFS pulled from the aether, instilling a contemporary twist on it with a clanging, raw production sound, atmospheric dynamic breaks and tight instrumental performances. The album pulses with swelling instrumental interludes providing parenthesis around solid chunks of blast-tinged, rolling chaotic hardcore. Vocally frontman Olivier delivers verse in native French, providing discourse in the manner of prose, dealing with the horror and darkness found for many in contemporary society, murder, drug abuse and the almost exclusively death metal territory of ghoul behaviour (grave robbing).
These themes are all symboloised in the artwork, providing stark monochrome imagery of a jackal and vultures fighting over a carcass.
BIND TORTURE KILL are really pushing the boundries of what can be acomplished by a single guitarist and drummer line up (albeit with three amps, ala Magrudergrind), using intelligent song structure and aplication of pedals the band really sounds like the "full" two guitars and bass more usually seen in the genre. Track times on this 34minute, 9 song release vary in length from under two minutes to over seven, this speaks to the band's ability to write diverse music while retaining their own sound and not straying from being very firmly grounded in the Post-Hardcore genre.
“Two heavy-weight doomcore acts from the empty, hopeless landscapes of Eastern Germany team up for a split LP that holds the balance between brutality and depressive bitterness. Leipzig's BLACK FREIGHTER who give their vinyl debut on this one start a slow, but unstoppable steamroller of tuned-to-zero guitars in complex and blurred arrangements. Potdam's CROWSKIN, known from their split LP with BLACK SHAPE OF NEXUS and last year's "Harmony of death" 7" deliver feedback-soaked ugly pieces of sludge with.”
Here it is. I’m very proud to present this split LP release. Probably the darkest, and at the same time most quiet record I’ve helped put out so far. It might sound a bit awkward but this record doesn’t stand out in how many guitars are being used or how low they are tuned (well ok, that does matter) but it’s the overall sound which makes it so incredibly massive. Bismuth are a two piece from Nottingham with only bass and drums. On this release they come with one track not unlike their debut tape The Eternal Marshes. Amp worship and wonderfully executed drone landscapes. So beautiful and so intense, it makes me want to pull out my hair (if i had any). On the other side comes Undersmile from Witney with a very long tune that suits perfectly with the Bismuth side. As with their counterparts it’s the sum of the parts that make the track. It doesn’t have huge guitar walls or rumbling bass. But it’s dark and gorgeous. It will make you drift away in spooky and scary dreams or nightmares if you will. The track itself reminds me a lot of bands like Bell Witch or Ensorcelor. Excellent pairing of bands and music. The signature artwork is done by Tony Roberts which again fits perfectly with the music of both bands.
Slowly churning from an idea among like-minded music mongers to a realistic formality, this kinship between two unique outfits has finally come to fruition. Both trekking from the same school of thought, this split demonstrates how the words “chaotic” and “rhythm” can be used in the same sentence to describe such signature styles. Black Kites moves forward with their aggressive yet emotionally unhinged sound that has taken them years to cultivate. Taking no issues lightly, lyrically BK has proven to be just as harsh and cunning with words as their instrumental infrastructure. As for Convulsions, they have taken on a new forms by flexing their “Prog-Rock” muscles while retaining and perfecting their ongoing, derailing composition. This is truly a match-maid in well, heaven? Comes in a heavy full color jacket, original artwork by Harry Gould Harvey IV. Limited first press of 500 pieces. Includes a digital download.
Japan vs. Italy Doom/Sludge crushing inferno! Guevnna play 2 heavy-as-fuck re-recorded from their 2012 demo. Ex-singer/drummer from Coffins Ryo Yamada on vocals. Black Temple Below offer one long, brutal and blackened track. They´re masters in weaving the dark and putrid art of sepulchral sludge. Their scummy and deathly music crawls and slithers like none other
INSTRUMENTAL/PROGRESSIVE-ROCK. BLACKWAVES is an instrumental band from Bielefeld/Münster (feature ex-members of KINETIC CRASH COOPERATION, JUNES TRAGIC DRIVE, LOVESONG COMPANY, CHEERLEADERS OF THE APOCALYPSE) and playing epic instrumental with massive riffs and driving rhythms, crushing, hypnotic soundscapes as well as an exploration into psychoactive prog-rock in the brotherhood of bands like CULT OF LUNA, NEUROSIS or even TORCHE. "0130" contains 6 tracks of devastating power and emotion that will destroy you with its beautiful, black heaviness. This release comes with a different artwork in a full-color 350gr thick coversleeve and an inlay. BLACKWAVES will soon be a name that will not be forgotten!
Bloodattack with their 3rd album "alphakiller" - after their last split 7inch "lazarus" with "alcatraz"- 9 brandnew songs recorded in january @ the Noiseschmiede Studios. Harsh, cold, brutal sound filled with angry Punk-Rock-Energy and a snotty, hammerblasting sound. this kind of music hasn´t been there before in this kind of style - Bloodattack shows us what it means to be pissed off and puke it out straight in your face. fast fucked-up hardcore-action that remains us on Integrity, Ringworm or Eatharsis with englisch and german lyrics. this is more than music - this is the Embodyment of Shit - an ugly, raging, unaesthetic giant filled with pure waste and aggression. "ALPHAKILLER" is not made for fans of clean-produced Metalcore with empty lyrics and disco-suitable singalongs. "alphakiller" is ugly as sin.
The long-awaited first full length by the Dutch high-speed maniacs BLOOD I BLEED is here. The guys, whose members made up 3/4 of the legendary MY MINDS MINE line-up, deliver unrelenting hyper-fastcore/grind that is raw as a crusty snot stain on a filthy flannel shirt. Capturing the rage and speed in the studio was obviously more important to these veterans of grind than getting a clean, polished performance, and that makes "Gods Out of Monsters" so much the better. There isn't a whole lot of variation here; they've just focused on intensity and lots of it. The album contains 23 songs and even features an ENEMY SOIL cover to boot. It's all go, no slow
If you dig HELLNATION, HERESY and INTENSE DEGREE then this is for you. Don't let it get away!
Blood Patrol is a band with former members of GOLDEN GORILLA, NARSAAK and DEAD BEAT. After a demo, this full-length release deliver 10 fast and angry thrashy tracks with a huge metal-heart and love for nwobhm-stuff. DISCHARGE and POISON IDEA practice together in the SLAYER garage. Thick 180gr vinyl comes with an inside-out printed cover. Don't worry Blood Patrol is rooted in hardcore-punk!
Bloody Phoenix are back again, billowing out barrels of grind that will pollute your mind like a 6-ft bong hit. As with their debut LP (now sold out), BxPx continue the tradition of no-thrills grindcore, keeping it direct and burtal not unlike their earlier band EXCRUCIATING TERROR.
D7i records and Doomsday machine records are proud to announce the release of a split lp between Austin, Texas’s punk-metal stalwarts BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA and Quebec city's mad thrashers BOMBNATION. BFT features the premier crossover drummer, Felix Griffin from DRI and Detroit's COLD AS LIFE original bass player while Bombnation features members of Fistfuck and Mesrine. Tracks from Blunt force Trauma are taken from Hatred for the State ep, while Bombnation's songs will be all new stuff and more crossover oriented! For fans of DRI, SOD, SLAYER and MUNICIPAL WASTE.
400 clear vinyl and 100 black ones
2 polish bands enetered recording studios for the 2nd time and decided to put the result of those sessions on one split LP. Good idea, as both bands can be placed on simmilar shelf - angry, fast, full of fury punk mixing fast hardcore with powerviolence and grindcore. You can say they are inspired by Artimus Pyle, Iron Lung, Dystopia, Orchid, Discordance Axis among many others. The Bold and The Beautiful from Lublin (with people from Amen, Antichrist, Knife in the leg, Silence and more) goses more into 80's hardcore direction, but with full speed. S.A.T.A.N. (with guys from Romeo Must Die and H-407) go more into grind direction. Brutal record.
A new record from these old men from Croatia. Nevertheless it's the most powerful and heavy Death/Grind which I listened in the last time. Don't miss it!

"Bone Dance, a ritually charged and menacingly DIY band seeped in all things heavy, is rising from the South Idaho desert with their first self-titled LP for Melotov Records (USA), Throatruiner Records and Prototype Records (Europe). Bone Dance takes the grime and gravelly glut of the band’s previous work, the self-released Snakecharmers, and reevaluates not only its intensity, but also the band’s heritage: retooling the ferocity of hardcore, the technical acumen of extreme metal, and the minimal gauze of sludge and doom. This is the kind of tight, controlled, anvil-heavy music that only comes out of an area dominated by the Religious Right, the Conservative Coalition, and some of the most culturally repressive mechanisms in America. Bone Dance acts as a document of this inheritance by time and place and on principle rejects all of it. As a combatant to the moderate veneer that glosses even the counterculture in their hometown of Boise, Bone Dance have crafted not a shield but a weapon against the repressive devices they so clearly detest. By deconstructing typical sludge breakdowns, by retooling blast beats into searing grooves, by inverting a biblical poetic into a sinister manifest of their body politic, Bone Dance forges a musical dialogue exemplifying the clash typical of the liberal-conservative head butting seen throughout misleading media; however, the band seems to reject even mainstream leftist views in favor of an utter desert-driven nihilism. Bone Dance proves yet again that the frontier isn’t innovation—the frontier is misery."

At war with false noise: Here we go, now we mean business! Two of the UK's finest team up to deliver what is a truly great split release, a record where both sides accompany each other perfectly and there's little to call between them.
I've been on the cusp of doing something with Bong since being in touch with them since before they even recorded anything and absolutely chuffed to finally sort it out! Their side of this LP is one long untitled jam, starting off rather innocuously enough, we're soon into full-on stoner mode. This has a definite "live in the studio" lofi sound that's characteristic of most Bong recordings, but is more trippy and less "heavy metal" than much of their output. Particularly there's a real eastern influence going on here, and Malesch by Agitation Free comes to mind. Everything builds up to a total proper psychedelic blow-out crescendo, and this side is as close to a true representation of Bong's semi-improvised live sets as any I've heard.
Pyramidion are a bit of a Scottish-based international supergroup, featuring several chaps from the fertile Weegie (and Edinburgh) underground scenes. As with Bong, they take up awhole side with their jam, which is less loose and more circular than the Geordie stoners'; it has a very early Krautrock sound with perhaps more than a nod to the legendary live jam sounds of 13th Floor Elevators, Grateful Dead or perhaps Ozric Tentacles (for which they are named by!). Everything builds around a really solid rhythm section with some proper far-out guitaring and spaced vox toward the end. Great these guys are finally out on vinyl, check out the fantastic brain-melting collage artwork whilt listening!
250 copies only!
Børedøm from Graz / Austria are pissed off with the gratuitous, ubiquitous filth of modern life and play loud and fast. On their new LP they deliver an explosive mix of d-beat and rockish hardcore and a progressive package of slow and melodic riffs that outburst in massif d-beat devastation. Erik is right, when he says, he wants to go out and punch random people in the face. It's so fucking brutal, i have to pull myself together not to completely destroy my room!
BOREDOM - "überalles" LP will be available march 10th and will come on heavy 180g Vinyl.
limited edition of 324 doom black and 324 crystal clear vinyl copies
On this release the Macedonian crust four piece conjure memories of classic mid-tempo Death Metal with a thundering collection of old-school riffs and d-beats. The self titled 12" opens and closes with clean guitar runs that could have been pulled straight from an 80's death/thrash album, and the guitar continues this feel throughout, mixing classic metal-punk influences like Wolfbrigade with thrash and classic melodic Swedeath sensibilities for a properly air-punching, foot-stomping and neck wrecking collection of tracks.
The drums never stray far from breakneck speed d-beat land and you get the impression even on the slower sections of track the band are impatient to get back to the fast again! Though clearly drawing from very old-school influences here the performances and production feels very modern.
All the instruments are audible, and the performences, though undeniably playing in a very 'traditional' style (lots of guitar trem picking and galloping bass to be found here) are extremely tight and focussed.
Though brief this release gives the distinct impression of quality over quantity, feeling like a 'best of' performence of Bolt Throwers' 'The IVth Crusade'. Massive riffs, screaming solos, pounding D-beats and howling vocals, what more could a metal-punk ask for!!
New record of this new band from Leipzig, Eisenberg and Neugersdorf. Classic crust from musicians who played before in Fazed, Lethargie, S.O.L., Confessed Crime
Debut 12" by this new band from Groningen. Of course there's some fimiliair people in it with members from Los Asesinos de La Superficialidad and Marat. Nothing like these band though. This is way more noisy. Think of the Shotmaker rythm section with the guitars of the Van Pelt. Throw in some Unwound, Red Scare and Jesus Lizard and there's your cup of Brito.
Kentucky’s most savage thrash assholes lovingly mutilate twelve punk and metal classics! From the thermonuclear caterwauling of the early years to the hardrock chainsaw barbarity of the current abomination, these recordings span BRODY’S MILITIA’s entire decade-long career of rampant idiocy! Bloody fucking homage is paid in spades with crushing covers of NAPALM DEATH, LED ZEPPELIN, BLUE OYSTER CULT, DEATH SIDE,THE RAMONES, ANTISEEN and more! CD version includes the split EPs with RUPTURE and NUNSLAUGHTER plus the entire “Tribute Through Butchery” EP for maximum sonic cruelty. Brilliant cover art by Nor Prego.
After their split with HIRO, BRUME RETINA are back with a full-length by it's own. Expect a rawer sound that still manages to keep the melodic aspect that we know from the French emo/screamo-scene. BRUME RETINA is comparable to their french fellows in AUSSITOT MORT and DAITRO.
BRUTAL TRUTH are known for their combination of orthodox Grindcore and need for experiment and “Evolution in one take”, the live-in-the-studio, one take rendition of their 2009 comeback full-length “Evolution through revolution”, the second part of their “live in the studio” series started with 2000’s “For grindfreaks only!” EP, is no exception. Rawer, more brutal, “Evolution in one take”, produced by Dan O’Hare of TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION, is a primitive release of anger, anguish, frustration and despise.
Melody leading seamlessly to heavy. Technical metal, grind and even a little 90s hardcore blend into an epic sound. features current and ex members of Fall of the bastards,Superbad,Hack saw to the throat, Weregoat, Ritual necromancy
Sweden’s Burning Kitchen startet in the 90ties and play a development of aggressive melodic punk sound with female voice that inspired a whole generation of Scandinavian bands to come, ranging from MASSHYSTERI, GORILLA ANGREB, TERRIBLE FEELINGS and VANNA INGET to American bands like ARCTIC FLOWERS and SIGNAL LOST. you get kick ass punkrock with great political lyrics!
BY NIGHT's highly anticipated 2nd full-length "a new shape of desperation" combines the straight forward metal sounds of their previous aural outings as well as providing a progressive and technical edge to their all over sound. The structures of "a new shape of desperation" are tight and impressive in its speed and intensity. Every track is filled with heavy riffs, powerful, precise drumming and harsh vocals that anyone can mosh to and identify with in the realm of extreme music. To get a vague idea of what this quintet sounds like, think of a highly corrosive marriage of death, thrash and heavy hitting hardcore in the vein of MESHUGGAH, FEAR FACTORY, THE HAUNTED, OPETH and EXTOL. Colored vinyl comes with gatefold cover!
