These lads from Peterborough have a very unique sound and it fucking screams grind and there are definitely traces of hardcore punk, d-beat and metal amongst the chaos that is their music and they seem to be masters of their craft. Hold up, there’s more as they slow it right the fuck down, at a glacier-like pace, but very briefly, which is really fucking cool. This is seriously something straight out of the noise underground with a very nihilistic feel to it, if that’s even possible.

Recreant is a 4 piece D.I.Y. Punk band dubbed as "swampcore" from the swamps of the sunshine state Florida. Recreant throws in a violin over sounds of Crust Punk, Emo Violence, Hardcore, Metal, and Post Metal. These recordings were recorded and mixed at The Hold Tight House in Tampa, FL by our good friend Matt Ostraco in November of 2012. Mastered by Justin Arnold at his house aka No Reprieve Records HQ.
Grindcore from Oskaka/Japan, originally released on Devour in 2006 this comes now the first time on limited vinyl. The flip side contains compilation tracks and the demo of this band, headed by Akira Kawabata from WORLD. Infernal, intense and absolutely crushing, it reminds me a bit of Insect Warfare. Get this.
With a short but eventful history which traces back to the band’s formation in Dortmund at the end of 2011, RED APOLLO are about to release their second full-length entitled "Altruist". The debut “Marche Funebre” (2012 - released on CD and LP) and the following “Transgression” split series (2013 – containing each a Split 7” with GOTTESMORDER, SUNDOWNING, WITHERS) have already favored the band to shape a distinctive sense for bright melodies embedded in a massive and crushing whirlwind of guitars and pounding drums. These artistic improvements on the one side and the rich touring background including numerous shows in Germany and its surrounding countries on the other side increased the band’s reputation of both fans and critics throughout the scene. On March 27th RED APOLLO will finally release “Altruist” on the german labels MOMENT OF COLLAPSE RECORDS and ALERTA ANTIFASCISTA RECORDS. Made up of almost 60 minutes of brand new material, RED APOLLO are once again pushing the limits of extreme music on their new record into a unique evolving artistic vision. Yet not just on a musical level but also lyrically, the band consistently explores the depths of hurtful aspiration and interpersonal devotion to guide the listener on this melancholic and crushing ten song trip. With contributions of guest-musicians such as Amanda Rogers, the album set sails to new frontiers in the bands history. Built on several influences like Hardcore, Metal, Punk, Black Metal as well as ambient music, the quartet created a rough gem that gets more in shape with every listen.
Political Crustpunk and ear-shattering-gutteral Grind sicken your senses throughout the final offering from both of these Northern California based bands. A pleasant surprise for those who haven't heard of these incredibly talented and over-looked bands. For fans of old Neurosis and Profane Existence releases.
Born in 2011, the members of REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER are all trained professional from the French Hardcore, Black Metal and Death Metal scene. Strong in their respective experiences, the band merges Sludge’s heaviness, Black Metal’s darkness, Hardcore’s groove but also Post Rock’s atmospheres. It is an introspective work tailored for the musical scene. Each performance brings the crowd to the edge of asphyxiation; the end of each show is an explosion of feelings, finally allowing the audience to take their breath once again.
The themes in this first eponymous album express under different aspects Man’s opposition to the divine in its quest of the absolute…
Recorded, mixed and mastered by Darkened Studio in various places: warehouse for drums, cold hut for guitars and bass, during winter 2012. Artwork by Fortifem
After releasing their demo early 2017, REGIONAL JUSTICE CENTER quietly worked on their song writing craft, no teasers, no promo tapes, just a constant display of force through live performance where they refined until their was no fat left to trim. WORLD OF INCONVENIENCE finds its home in ever shifting time signatures, punishing punk beats and constantly off kilter breaks. This record expands RJC from the one man band demo and adds players from the live band as well a brief guest appearance by Mark Palm(Go It Alone, Supercrush, Black Breath). Drawing from such sources as CROSSED OUT all the way to the THE BEATLES the record never leaves you anticipating what will happen next. Recorded in Western Massachusetts with Will Killingsworth and housed in art by Mark McCoy, WORLD OF INCONVENIENCE makes for a complete package of hardcore brilliance.
REIVERS are members of GRAF ORLOCK and NEGATIVE STANDARDS ; this is their debut LP after releasing a 7" on vitriol records in 2011 ; Female fronted hardcore in the vein of Suicide File and other rocky-hardcore styles. to be honest,it has a slightly touch of a PUNCH influence as well ... so raging, political hardcore;
it comes in a foldout cover, designed once more by adam from graf orlock
About one year after the debut-ep 'Death To All Of Us' Remember are back with their first full length. Chuzpe is the consistent advancement of the EP, the record is dark and desperate. It combines some modern hardcore elements with some moshing heavyness of pure intensity. There are these calm and muted moments just to be destroyed by another vehement storm. We made some copies in a splattered-vinyl-look, some white copies and some black ones. Moreover, every record will have it's unique download code.
Veteran Bologna blasters REPULSIONE release 'Desecrating', a new full length collection of gore splattered, grooving grindcore and powerviolence.
On the face of it the assumption would be that they would draw heavily from bands like Sete Star Sept and Water Torture, being a guitarless line up, but REPULSIONE draw more heavily from old school grind bands in terms of style, having something of an early Carcass vibe around some of the more groove heavy tracks through to the blasting excess of Last Days Of Humanity when the snare really kicks in.
The drum sound is particularly brutal, being of the metallic clanging type. This, combined with the primarily low-pitched growls of vocalist 'Mosh', lends their sound parallels to gore or mince but without any cliche like resorting to 'oompa-beat', think more 'Reek Of Putrefaction' rather than 'Babykiller' or some contemporary equivalent. Keeping the blasts harsh and intense ties them more closely to their Powerviolence influences.
Special note has to be made of the tightness of the performance shown on this recording - REPULSIONE have a really controlled and punchy bass sound, more Fuzz than outright distortion, this makes their start-stop sections almost mechanical in their precision, some tracks becoming like a high speed Godflesh with the extremes of low pitch and incredible gating on the instruments. There is not a sound out of place - marking these guys out for their uniqueness in not just giving in to outright noise - they know that it is more effective to break it up, creating dynamics through structure rather than volume, which is at a consistently tinitus inducing pitch, as it should be on any proper grind release.
Furthering their grind legitimacy this album features art by seminal grind/punk art veteran Luis Sendon.
'Desecrating' is a mosh-heavy collection of groovy blast tracks with a unique edge to the sound deserving of a place on any grind fans turntable!
RESENT formed in 2017, in Victoria BC, with intentions of playing ugly and disdain drenched sludge; the six tracks that make up their debut LP prove that they more than achieved this. The band draws heavily on the classic '90s sludge sound made 'famous' by Grief, Noothgrush, Corrupted, et al, but somehow manages to drag it further down into the putrid filth from which it was spawned, with the entire record reaching the despairing lows of the nastiest, bleakest moments of Meth Drinker.
RESONANCE CASCADE's machine gun grindcore shoots your body into pieces and after that the guys from JÄRNBÖRD drop a devastating d-beat bomb mixed with nails and spikes.
limited edition of only 444 black copies
comes with a heavy cover, reverse board print, insert with lyrics and liner notes
RESPIRE "Black Line" LP (NAR 080) on seafoam green vinyl or a-side/b-side purple rain with cream white vinyl!
Respire is an six-piece band from Toronto, Canada, who plays orchestral post-black metal with epic post-hardcore and screamo. This is the third full-lenght record.
Release will be out on December 4th, 2020. (first pressing = seafoam green vinyl)
Or out on January 21th 2021 = second pressing - 100 exclusive copies on a-side/b-side purple rain with cream white vinyl!
A band embodying the notion of community is a sight for sore eyes as the world moves into post-2020; Canada’s Respire stands firm as one of the most forceful in the realm of new screamo and post-hardcore bands, pushing what it means to encourage diversity and representation within the roots of art.
Since their formation in 2013, Respire have been an unwavering light in the Toronto DIY scene; with prior releases (2016’s Gravity and Grace and 2018’s Dénouement) refining the band’s orchestral post-rock and viscerally sharp 90’s screamo influences. With their already accomplished history and an extended family of contributing musicians in tow, the band have forged their spirituous third album Black Line.
Written over two years and produced over six months, it is a masterful exercise in sonic scope and overwhelming swells of fervor.
The ceremonious opening of ‘Blight’ breaks into the rolling thunder of ‘Tempest’ where the album bares its teeth - black metal blast beats are met with serrated guitars and vocals that are incomparable in their power and drive forward with Deafheaven-esque determination. Moments like ‘Cicatrice’ and ‘Embers to End’ allow Respire to display their uncompromising strain of blackened hardcore with enveloping pressure, whilst
‘Lost Virtue’ and ‘Flicker and Faint’ are pure grandeur and beauty with group vocals and string arrangements that nod to Envy’s more striking crescendos.
Warm and often elating, these tracks are intended to anchor the listener from the first note.
Black Line is colossal, a swirling void that draws everything around it to its center. Despite the towering lattice of classical instrumentation and thundering hardcore that swathes the listener in a sensory cathedral throughout, Respire still carve out hope as a result; Black Line is equal parts a call to arms as it is a celebration of self in the face of the worlds blight.
04. Lost Virtue
06. Embers to End
07. Flicker and Faint
08. To Our Dead Friends
09. Catacombs Part II
Respire is a six-piece band from Toronto, Canada, who combine epic post-hardcore, screamo, and black metal into a very cohesive formula that drips of maturity and patience. Gravity and Grace is their debut LP - a sprawling memoir of genre-defying soundscapes, reverb-washed tremolo harmonies, cascading arpeggios, dreamlike textures and walls of distorted guitars roaring over frantic rhythms, punctuated by tormented vocals and a near-orchestral array of instruments and contributors. Themes of loss, addiction, heartbreak, and existential anguish paint a bleak picture, but somewhere over the horizon rests a glimmering sense of hope, resolve and forgiveness.
For fans of: Old Soul, Alaskan, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Neil on Impression and Fall Of Efrafa.

5 new songs and a cover from resurrectionists. heavy grinding hardcore / powerviolence played by guys that listens to emoviolence as well :) 11 furious fastcore blasts from the gentle art of chokin´ - no time to breath just attack!
What we have here is an incredible split LP between Germany's Resurrectionists who offer up 6 songs of dark, screamy, and chaotic hardcore/punk and England's LICH, who feature members of Battle Of Wolf 359. LICH impressed the hell out of me with their demo and continue to impress with 6 songs of ultra violent, metallic and emotive hardcore and power violence.
Revulsed's critically acclaimed debut album, Infernal Atrocity, now finally available on VINYL!
Number 8 on Trevor Strnad's best 100 albums of 2015 and featuring the masterful artwork of Par Olofsson. 9 tracks of the best combination of old school Death Metal with a modern and brutal twist. All killer no filler.
Featuring Konni from Despondency/Defeated Sanity on vocals.
After the demise of Paramaecium (later inExordium), Jayson Sherlock and Sheldon D'Costa formed Revulsed in 2010. The band wrote their debut album for five years with Justin "Yowie" Smith, but still in search for a vocalist until Konstantin Lühring of Defeated Sanity joined to finish recording the debut album.
In October 2015 "Infernal Atrocity" was released via Permeated Records.
Mark Smith joined the band as their bass player after the recording of the album. Lühring left the band as he was unable to play locally. Damien Mirklis joined in January 2016 at the time of the announcement of Lühring's leaving.
Spring 2019 will finally have Everlasting Spew Records releasing "Infernal Atrocity" on vinyl and the band is composing a new album due to be out late 2019/early 2020 still for Everlasting Spew.
For fans of Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse and Inveracity
PROGRESSIVE-HARDCORE/METAL. RITUALS from Arizona play a blend of slow, heavy, and pummeling riffs with a mixture of sonically versed melancholy melodies. This music comes from the stomach. There are 5 tracks on this release. As you listen, set aside expectation. This record is more concerned with texture, using a sense of sparse minimalism and repetition to achieve gradual, swelling impact. Tracks frequently stretch out to 7min., taking their time to unfold and develop into epic soundscapes. The distorted guitars are augmented thundering drums as the harsh vocals paint images of nomadic cultures and cracked earth under a burning sky. In other words, can be a classic. Fans of brilliant, emotive, progressive music (hardcore, metal or otherwise) must have this one.
RITUAL MESS vile art LP
Ex-members of orchid, ampere ...; Gravity style hardcore, served up with
chaos, hooks, and fervor that brings new life to this style. Some might
call it "the closest thing you'll get to an Orchid reunion" and while they
might be right, it's also much more than that. Listen and find out for
yourself. For fans of Antioch Arrow, Swing Kids, Clikatat Ikatowi, etc.

Two bands that are releasing the harsh reality of music and noise on the unsuspecting victims of today's music followers. From Maine's Robocop to Canada's Detroit - they combine a onslaught of noise, powerviolence to produce some blasting combinations. Previously released on Grindcore Karaoke, now available on vinyl.
"After having spent a good part of the last two years delivering spasmodic live shows all across Europe, Basque-based THE RODEO IDIOT ENGINE have entered the studio with producer/sound engineer Amaury Sauvé (Birds In Row, Death Engine, As We Draw…) to record "Consequences", their deafening second full-length. Recorded live to keep the chaos and intensity of the band's physical live performances, these eleven tracks spread a wider, more personal sound, expanding their brutally crushing and discordant brand of hardcore to new horizons. Constantly switching between two-minute ear-blasting assaults that will make your adrenaline rush and slower, heavier tracks where the band explores a more oppressive atmosphere, "Consequences" shows a band that has matured and expanded it's musical vision, while sounding tighter and wilder than ever."
One sided 12 inch by the new band from Poland. The other side of the vinyl is silkscreened. Romeo Must Die are a mad and pissed off three-piece beleieving in the ethics of DIY. The group delivers 6 songs (nearly 20 minutes) that are not far from the Artimus Pyle, His Hero Is Gone or Catharsis kind of style, technically very well played, passionate and downtuned crust with low screaming vocals and lots of tempo variations. Heavy production and poetic lyrics make it powerful record. WHITE VINYL.
Rort have been mixing Hardcore, Death Metal and Grind since 2008.
After the awesome 7" some years ago, they finally put out this 14 tracks debut LP unleash their hatred for anything that isn’t fast in the vein of Bolt thrower/Infest. Crushing guitars, neck-breaking blast beats, menacing vocals and unrelenting hardcore violence. Get ready to be punished by the Melbourne bulldozing onslaught that is Rort.
A colossal and swarming chasm of obsidian black droney industrial black noise. T. Messing (guitarist of crust punk legends Nux Vomica) brings you this mind-shattering and incredibly introspective solo work, incarnated into one of the most accomplished, devastating, and visionary masterpieces to have been conceived within the realm of black metal and noise crossover genres in the last five-six years at least.
Originally released in 2014 as a limited run of 100 tapes by now defunct tape label Grimoire Cassette Cvlture - Sedation was one of the tail end releases for the label, with the cassette being released close to the label's final demise and as such going nearly completely unnoticed, as all available copies soon vanished from the public eye with the label shutting down its online store and online operations. Sentient Ruin however did not fail to notice this astonishing album, and it eventually took us a good three years to track down Messing and bring him on board for a proper (re)release.
Today we are honored and excited to have accomplished this very heartfelt mission, as we bring you the ultimate and final release of Sedation, re-mastered, and re-packaged with spectacularly wretched new artwork done for the project by noise/industrial visionary artist Anderson Cook, and further enhanced by a much needed and absolutely glorious vinyl release.
An unforgettable sonic flailing suspended between the realms of extreme metal, drone and noise music, that will delight fans of atmospheric experimental extreme bands like Sutekh Hexen, Locrian, Wraiths, Thisquietarmy, Pyramids, BLSPHM, Darkspace, etc.

Rising up from the UK comes the scathing, cathartic post-hardcore explosion of “Unbeliever” from Row of Ashes. Dig a little deeper and you’ll find moments of caustic and miserable sludge hidden within the dissonance
It's the first full-length from RUE, a group considering members ofFistula and Sofa King Killer, and so one can definitely expecthigh-quality sludge performed in its most convincing way. Like the grimbattle cover artwork, done by Scott Stearns, the music is equal to it:aggressive, blood-thirsty and destructive! One song is entitled"Stonersaurus", but RUE have more in common with early Celtic Frostthan with 70's-influenced heavy rock, although I found very smalltraces of it here after constant listening. Combined with the energyof 80's US-Hardcore, RUE rip through nine energetic crusher such as"The Escapist", "Born with Frostbite" or "Shut your Mouth" all of whichcontain enough anger to make me feel good. One great thing about RUE istheir ability to write remarkable songs, instead of just trying to beas most brutal as can be.
Ruined Families hail from Athens, Greece and their first album "'Four Wall Freedom"' is ot now! Dark, melodic yet in your face, Deathwish style hardcore music, with a strong poetic / philosophical approach. Fans of Cursed, early Converge and Rorschach, keep an eye on them!
Ruins from Bielefeld and Kyrest from Nürnberg teamed up to release an awesome piece of vinyl on rising riot records. Both bands play some intense modern neocrust-dbeat. We know the ruins-guys from bands like Shoyu Squad and KPX and so we expected a brutal liveset and we got it. For this split, Ruins recorded four songs with the help of Robin Völkert and brought it to a playtime of nearly 19 minutes. Kyrest tackle their songs in the same way, brutal and atmospheric neocrust with german and english lyrics. The kyrest-side of the record brings four songs in about 14 minutes. All the records come in grey, milky wax.
new release for this crust band based in portland with ex members
While the guitars roar, the drums resound and the throat fills with
anger, we build while we destroy. Emotions drive sound, sound powers
the heart and the heart bellows from within. Caterwauling, grief, and
anxiety are heard chewing on grit and dirt from the mouth of the void.
Frustration leaves a taste on the lips. We love you and we welcome you.
Join us, take our hands, and be our friends.

rýr (islandic: barren, sparse, weak) is an instrumental post-metal band from Berlin, Germany. "left fallow" combines crushing and heavy riffs with spherical clean sounds in a non-standard yet intuitive way to balance different sets of emotions within individual songs. The concept of the band is to create diverging spheres in a simple and abstract way that is best suitable for being performed in an absorbing live environment. The six songs are perfectly filling over 50 minutes of an auditive journey.
