turkish vs. dutch grindcore madness
SAKATAT from Turkey unleash 6 new raw as fuck tunes in the vein of old Napalm Death, Rot, Agathocles and S.O.B. plus a killer Rot cover (Game of hypocrisy)!
German SLAUGHTER OF THE INNOCENTS threaten your mental health with 6 new songs in the vein of Terrorizer, Napalm Death and the whole 80s shit!
After a lot of touring together, SANDCREEK MASSACRE (NL) and BORDEOM (AT) finally team up on this split 7inch. SCM still doing their trashcrust, but damn good, whereas BOREDOM brings us some really dark HC/Punk.
Germany's fastcore band No. 1 SANITYS DAWN founded in the early 90s. Well known after several worldwide releases (several albums and split releases, with bands like EXHUMED, MAGRUDERGRIND, YACÖPSAE, NYCTOPHOBIC etc.) After 8 years of waiting they recorded six new songs of Braincrushing FastCore Madness for the current EP. Although one can say, even after more than 20 years in the business scene, Sanitys Dawn has not diminished of hardness and speed. The 7 "EP comes in a noble inside-outside printed cardboard sleeve. Very nice presentation.
two of the most oppressive french grindcore bands teaming up on this devastating split. WHORESNATION deliver a totally devastating and full throttle grindcore ride and they have set on fire the obscene extreme stage in 2010. Old school Grind reminescent of Fear Of God and Looking For An Answer!!
Legendary hardcore/punk band from Scarborough formed in the mid 80's team up with fresh blood from Leeds! 4 new songs from each band.
SATANIC MALFUNCTIONS continue their aggressive, intense and ultra fast hardcore/punk combined with thrash/grind fury. This will please all fans of other UK (and not only) bands like ACTIVE MINDS, DISORDER, ATAVISTIC, ELECTRO HIPPIES, L’ARM, HERESY.
FAMINE play solid piece of grindcore/fastcore for fans of THE AFTERNOON GENTLEMEN or CHIENS and the likes!
4x straight forward rockish hardcore from the GEEZERS dudes – this is what i used to call “schweinerock”! fast hardcore, lots of melodies and a great sludge feeling – nevertheless no stops all go. this dudes know how to rock – hm – they also have a hudge list of ex- or current bands they played in, like elision, shokei, gotz george – just to name a few of them… but GEEZERS is realy different to all their other bands – this sounds much more like zeke or genocide ss. a friend called it motorheadpunk – yep – i think that is it…
SCHMAND once more with progressive hardcore/punk. track one is a rerecorded version of “Begegnung mit mir” – a song that already could be heard on the 2nd demo. this version is a little faster and also got some new parts – i like this one! song #2 is a fast forward hardcorepunk song with a great “melodical” chorus. sadly fossy don’t want to play this one live…
this record is a ltd edition of 300 copies and comes with a full coloured cover / inlay, coloured labels and coloured vinyl… to be exact on 7 different coloured vinyls… on top of it you will get a download code of the songs to listen this songs on your i-pod.
SCHNAUZER return with two new tracks, more powerviolent and rough than ever before. SOLIPSIST obliterate the senses with their brand of brutal horror death core.
SCHROTZ show you the angry and bitter world of hardcore and punk - crusty with massive metal influences. The baltic sea pirates delivers you four blistering bomb strikes - the perfect soundtrack for celebrating the world collapse this year. Tracklist Devils World Collapse Burn The System Fall Through Krise Atomtod Recorded by Piere @ SESSION.STUDIO Rostock. Mastered by Pluto @ MEGA WIMP SOUND Berlin.
Newest missive from Chicago’s power violence battalion. Bitter resentment and rancor straining under a harsh suffocating wall of brutish noise. Ruined and invalidated by the mundane carnage of daily existence. The demise of hope.
Brand-new split of two bands from two opposite parts of the world! CONTRAST ATTITUDE from Japan delivers the punch straight to the point with two blasts of loud apocalyptic d-beat raw punk. The legacy of British metal punx of late 80s like BROKEN BONES and (later period) DISCHARGE, Scandinavian käng of SHITLICKERS or ANTI-CIMEX and Japanese distorted wall of noise of bands like DISCLOSE and CONFUSE is definitely right here in the music of these maniacs from Mie-city active already since 1998! After split EPs with CROW and SYSTEMATIC DEATH is this split already the third split EP of SEE YOU IN HELL from Brno-city/Czech Republic with Japanese band. Two songs of energetic and ass-kicking hardcore/punk with gravely vocals and gang choruses. Like usually with killer sound from South-Bohemian Hellsound Studio and mastering job by Jack Control (Enormous Door Studio). Record cover artwork by talented artist Murilo Pommer from Brazil in pretty dark and bleak mood like always from this master of pen!
Thisrambunctious nine-minute record delivers six tracks that pay homage to the math-grind - with extreme volatility, noisy structures, skull-crushing breakdowns, ridiculous song titles and sass. This style of extreme music has been making a quiet comeback in recent years and while this particular California band don’t necessarily bring anything to the table, they definitely do it more viciously than most. Ffo early Daughters, Heavy Heavy Low Low, The Blood Brothers
Angry ,fast and powerfull HC punk from two croatian bands.
At war with false noise: Quite possibly the longest-delayed of all At War releases, this one was recorded about four years ago I think and both bands split up long ago. I've never been one to let commercial viability get in the way of a release though and this one had to happen eventually!
Seppuku do 57 tracks of raging and weird noisecore that was much more similar to what the band attempted to play live. Heavy and off-kilter spastic stuff; each track is dedicated to a method of murder from a giallo!
Necrocum were from Germany and featured members of Taunt. Their side is more conventional grind - very lofi and with a real groove going through it - not a million miles away from the great Necrocannibalistic Vomitorium.
250 copies, yellow vinyl.
The debut 7" of SHINY BROWN from Basel/Freiburg. After their demo tape, this is the first release on vinyl. Here you go... 7 songs of total fastcore mayhem. A thick and hammering bass, crazy and unconventional guitar playing, fast-as-hell-drumming and a vocalist screaming on the top of his lungs. Yeah! This record comes - of course - on brown vinyl.
Shitfit is fast crust/D-beat with amazing vocal influenced by UK groups such as discharge. I think this is the first crust band from Montreal. Harsh is crust/grind with brutal vocals. Hard to find 7".
The second piece of vinyl by Hamburg's thrash torpedo T.G.A.O.C., 7 more tunes that pick up where they left off after their 7” debut in 2006. to the point, tight as fuck, still pulling the strings, ranging between something that once was called Powerviolence and ripping 80’s thrashcore! just as somebody mentioned before: putting the Hardcore back into Hardcore!! After their smashing split 12”, Miami’s supernova of grindcore aka SHITSTORM deliver us some more immense assaults of blistering whirlwind-grind, that don’t let any time to draw breath in between! absolutely determined to disassemble everything in range!!
HARDCORE. SHORTLIVED`s demo was orgiginal released in 2007 on CDR and this 7” was supposed to be a white label pressing ltd. to 200 copies and should be sold on their European tour but as it took the pressing plant ages to do this item, it didn’t make it right on time. Lucky you cause now you get a chance to get one of them. This is fast, raw and angry hardcore. Limited and handnumbered edition!
SHORTLIVED are another New Zealand band worth checking out. Their "mindrot" 7” has 8 great tracks of raw, fast and pissed-off hardcore not unlike DROP DEAD. On "mindrot" you'll get 7 tracks of their own and a nice LIGHTS OUT cover as icing on the gravy! Limited edition of just 300 copies. You know the deal!
Crushing German powerviolence in a blood pact with Philly noise mongers Constraint culminating in their US Summer 2015 Tour. Twisted shards of incendiary fuselage rip and tear the dead walls of empty tombs of the blind dead. And some tough riffs.
Angry fast thrashy HC from Brazil. Including heresy and riistyetyt covers.
2x fast HC PV/ Grind.
2x a brutal slap in the face.
FFO: Infest, Crossed out, dispise you etc.
While so many bands call it a day after one active year, the sidetracked-four carry it on and on and on... Hailing from Germany the release another great 7" with six new songs that are fast, these four guys just won't slow down. The new songs are simply fast, short and loud, a thrashing punk- and hardcore attack that you will love. This 7" sounds raw and dirty like it should be. 100 clear copies and 400 in black vinyl are available.
It took so long to release this piece of wax and from time to time we really didn't believe, that this split-ep would see the light of day, but well, haste makes waste and here we are. Together with Final Exit Records from Munich we release 4 songs of Sidetracked from the Pott and 2 songs of Kachel from Munich. The 7" comes in lilac wax and moreover the first 50 records have and additonal extra cover with Tim Sidetracked and Börl Kachel on it. So, some words about the music: hardcore-punk, the usual stuff.
Six Reasons To Kill are back – with their new single „Rote Erde“ they take up to the worldwide successful fifth album „We Are Ghosts“. Free from genre borderies and mindless stereotyped thinking of modern age. Six Reasons To Kill present a dark steamroller of Metal: morbid, honest, brutal and dynamic. The new song is honest and full of lifeblood. The social critical topic shows the drawbacks on a direct way and makes you think about it. The second track on the 7inch is a cover from the cult band Dismember. „Of Fire“ initiated a goose skin in their youth and is the perfect addition for this release. Six Reasons To Kill trusted their producer of choice Kohle from Kohlekeller studio again, who performed an aggressiv and powerful sound. The single will be released as a limited 7inch and is the foretaste of the new album in 2016.
blasting collab between austria's Six-Score and Spanish destroyers of Convulsions.
Raw blown out punk mania from the USA with a depressing blackened twist. Skvlt have been a band for a little over a year now and this is their first vinyl release. 300 black records with silk screened covers and and 18x24 poster insert. Cool single.
These two relatively youthful UK bands give me hope for the future of this little isle's scene. Sky:Lark! are a power trio making a healthy post-hardcore racket, like Shotmaker, Fugazi, Karp and the like. Heavy, twisty, weird song structures and riffing, all topped off with layers of angst. Meadows combine the slow with the fast to create a riffstorm of hardcore-tinged stoner rock that is catchy, heavy and very good for you. Hand screened covers, hand stamped labels, the works!
split vinyl between dutch grind/hxc band slapendehonden who play one long stoner sludge song, which will make you feel drugged without smoking versus I witness epic hxc from russia with 2 songs
German underground grinders vs Dutch brutalcore freaks
Two bands from Canada come together to complete blow out any kind of thoughts that you may have had on grindcore or powerviolence! Gritty and in-your-face powerviolence that borders on the dirty edge of grindcore / noisecore from both bands! Both have been around for a while and have now come together for a collection of blastviolence!
Underrated chaotic fastcore from spain. Why?
This is the debut release from these Arizona scene veterans. Includes ex-members from E.T.T.S. But does not carry the same porno-gore-grind torch. Rather, Sorrower executes a grindcore style influenced by european death, grind and hardcore punk. The songs are down-tuned, fast and aggressive as hell, full of D-beats, blast beats, browbeats and any other kind of beatings you can imagine. Even though there's 8 tracks on this 33rpm slab 'o wax, Sorrower will leave you weeping for more. Comes with a digital download.
Amazing Grind from AZ and OR collide on this split. Sorrower bring 3 songs of revenge filled death grind from Arizona. Awesome art And layout by Mike Fisher
Featuring one unreleased song of each band!
Grave Wax come with Mike Smith (ex- Suffocation) this time on drums and Kam Lee (ex-Massacre) on vox, offer us a track straight out of the grave... Whereas, Soulskinner present now the Part II of their song Against The Fear Of Death that took place at their previous split with the mighty Greek death metal masters Obsecration.
Limited to 500 Hand-Numbered copies!
Artwork : Mark Riddick
Two of the longest running death metal bands from Greece join forces for this split and blast us with one unreleased track of each band! Soulskinner, after their new full length album, present one more new track in their usual ancient death metal sound! On the other side, Obsecration , back from the grave 2 years after their last full length album, come with a new old school track that reminds you The Inheritors Of Pain area!
Cover done by Mark Riddick (RIDDICKART) !!
two of germanys finest veterans team up for this devastating aural assault. no fancy graphics for this one. the focus lies on what's important. Stack the german institution in grind/violence hc deliver us a couple more oustanding material = a way better than the the previous material on the splits with seein'red or capitalist casualities. Narsaak shows it talent again as usual: raw and uncompromising hardcore in the way it was meant to be.
Make no mistake, these Frenchies plus one Floridian sleep cuddled next to their DISORDER records, passed out with a gluebag in hand. The glue fumes work to help them create the magnificient chaotic madness that is STATE POISON. They've got the sound pretty nailed down. Most of the songs feature a variety of gurgles, blarghs, and random shouts from the vocalist. STATE POISON align with SWANKYS or early CONFUSE, before lumping it in with the crasher crust scene. Overall, STATE POISON has enough ineptness, ridiculousness, catchiness, and creativity to pull this style off.
German - Greek friendship at its finest! A grindcore – crust – death and a black metal sonic attack is provided with this split release! Two grindcore/ death metal tracks made by the old-school German killers World Downfall, who break the ice after a long musical pause. They come crushing down, straight to your face! Stheno continues to move on the blackened path with a grindcore/black metal/crust blend, offering a four song Greek punch; blackened sonic hooliganism especially for you, freaks!
Stheno are a blackened grindcore band from Greece, on side A they're put 4 brutal and terrifying songs. Grassroll are also from Greece and play Grindcore with a dash of Sludge. Short and to the point, this is a worthy split between these two bands. Limited to 300 copies, 100 yellows and 200 black. Released in collaboration between: Clean Head Productions, Angry Owl Records, EveryDayHate. Recommended for fans of: Discordance Axis, Nails, Mindflair, Brutal Truth.
Out of the strawberry fields of Oxnard, CA comes the raging debut 7” from Stop Breathing. Playing classic Nardcore punk mixed with a bit of east coastflavor, this 4 song gem will have you circle pitting in no time. Think RKL partying it up in NYC in the late 80’s! Features current and ex members of The Missing 23rd, Glass & Ashes, The Fucking Wrath, & Young Livers means these guys know how to play and do it well. If you’re a fan of Nardcore & late 80’s hardcore get this now! There are only 300 and they’re going fast!
Fast & furious old school grind core from Poznan.
Young grindblood on the extreme music map!!!
Two israelian bands are featured on this record. SB play some experimental thrashcore with electro parts while Achzavoth rock the stage with crazy metal riffs
An even crazier release from Suckinim Baenaim, putting those Line 6 petals and other equipment to use! As well as Suckinim Baenaim being 'Locust style' crazy, so are Batalj
At war with false noise: Deek Crozier and Stevie Innes have been with me since I started At War; as Messiah Complex on the early days of the roster, as bandmates in Seppuku, as customers (!) and most importantly as good pals. When they started up a new band I knew they'd be belting and when I first heard SIF I was blown away. Never ones to just release anything they do though, it's taken them a couple of years to release their first proper three minutes-worth of music and I'll say now it's been worth the wait and then some! This is really intense and focussed stuff; there are definitely some Agathocles/FETO riffs going on there and there's a definite first-wave power violence sound going on there too. Vocals are bloody amazing, totally blown-out and in-the-red and the lyrics are total Grief/Phobia hatred-of-the-world material. Angry as fuck, uncomprimising music.
To tell the truth there's hardly anyone in the UK right now who could hold a candle to the SIF side so it's good that we managed to get one of the few who can! Not too long ago I got the first MANGLE 7" and I was really impressed, and this recording takes it up a notch again. This is completely about utter, sheer INTENSITY. They go from the boorish Man Is The Bastard stomp to break-neck No Comment grind in an instant, breaking off for a lazy feedback-laden My War-era Ginn solo. Heavy is not the word.
350 copies on black vinyl with foldover double-sided pro-printed sleeves.
First EP of this Polish band. Oldschool Grindcore with a Punk influence.
Total raw grind split. Suffering mind with live recording from a show in wroclaw 2012. six songs of sheer grindcore. Matka teresa comes back with raw rehearsal tracks.fastcore grind full of noise!
poland vs canada grindcore matchup.
blisteringly fast no frills grind from both.
So here’s the much anticipated first vinyl output by Suffering Quota. Their last years demo already promised some great tunes for the future and they sure don’t let us down on their side of this 7”. A raw mix of Phobia and Assuck inspired grind with some crusty grooves and moshable breakdowns. Quality stuff with the only downside being it’s only three songs leaving you hungry for more. Grinding Halt on their side start off with a hyperfast song in an almost Charles Bronson like way. The other song is a bit more midtempo with a Fingerprint feel to it, but heavier. Buzzsaw guitars, rumbling bass, all over the place drumming and insane screaming, Well it’s still Grinding Halt. Well done. Artwork by Steve Larder from Moloch fame. This will be a co-release with Parade Of Spectres (uk) and Give Praise (usa).
Split between italian powerviolence Suicide Force and slovenian solo powerviolence project Slund, artwork by Officina Infernale
ffo: infest, spazz, lack of interest, double me, onasnop, failure
under: metal, grind, hc, noise, powerviolence, fastcore, trashcore
Two hardworking European bands share this second installment of our ongoing series of splits 7". Definitely not newcomers, although they could do with some more recognition. They both have self-released albums, which shows you that they are not the type to sit back and watch.
Sweeden's SUMA had a quiet year in 2011, with what looked like they were not going to be able to find time to all get together in the same room to record their track. Thank God, another project of split of theirs fell through and they decided to use the song here instead. Heavy, loud and noisy post hardcore/metal probably best describes their sound this time around, or in short, a wall of noise not for the faints of heart.
On the other side, Belgium's ULTRAPHALLUS follow up to their album for Riot Season, which was anything but easy-listening, with a surprisingly catchy tune. Heavy enough, but nonetheless fills your ears with riffs you want to hear again and again. Not to mention the handclaps - pure genius at work here!
TSLCORSASZ pack a dense array of doom and black metal into these two tracks. It's monstrously heavy and emotionally taxing.
SVFFER is a band of 4 individuals from Münster and Bielefeld in the west of Germany. Heavy, headbangable parts mixed with fast and loud powerviolence thrashing in under 7 minutes is what you get from SVFFER's first 7", also availible on tape. Together with the almost brute shrieks by their female vocalist they manage to create a mind blowing chaotic atmosphere that leaves you breathless. 7" released by Vendetta and Narshadaa Records 100 on white, 400 on black Vinyl
